We docked at Santos, Brazil, a port we visited a few days before. It is South America's largest port and the port for Sao Paolo and the main reason for the stop was crew change & provisioning. We weren't interested in a 8 hour excursion to Sao Paolo where only 2 hours would be spent looking at the town from the bus. There was a shuttle bus to the big shopping mall in the city so we went there to have a walking venue other than the upper deck of the ship. The mall is enormous and has the type of shops you see in the US in large cities. It's grocery store was huge and fun to explore. We didn't buy anything. The restaurants had good looking food, but they were buffets and we weren't sure how long the food had sat on the warming trays so we returned to the ship. We prefer sit down restaurants where food is ordered from a menu and cooked to order. At lunch the ship's restaurant was serving baramundi, a delicious Australian mangrove fish, so we enjoyed that. Our team won trivia with a perfect score. Dinner at night was in Signature's restaurant, a French oriented restaurant and we ate there with our friends Cheryl & Wolfgang.
